Have you ever stopped to look down? This painting is part of a collection called “don’t forget to look down” i made this collection inspired by my walks in the Cairns rainforest, being so amazed by it’s tiny perfectly imperfect intricacies everywhere you look, especially down on the forest floor.
A shimmer of movement, and it’s gone — a butterfly, skimming the forest floor with flashes of electric blue, darting between ferns and over crystal-clear rainforest streams.
This painting captures that fleeting magic — the kind you only see when you’re really present. The stillness of the forest floor, the rush of water over stone, and the sudden flutter of life in the form of a Ulysses butterfly.
